Depop Fee Calculator

Depop charges a flat selling fee on the item price plus payment processing. Shipping is usually paid by the buyer through Depop's label, so it does not always pass through your revenue.

Where the money goesAmount

Break-even price: $14.94 — below this you lose money on every sale.

On the example above, Depop takes 14.9% of every sale. That is the number to compare, not the headline percentage — the fixed fees and the shipping-inclusive fee base are what make the effective rate diverge from the advertised one.

The full fee schedule

Every charge Depop applies to a United States order, and when each one bites.

FeeAmountWhen it applies
Selling fee 10.0% 10% of the item price.
Payment processing 3.3% + $0.45 3.3% + $0.45 per transaction.

How the maths works

The calculator does exactly three things: it builds the fee base, applies every active fee, then subtracts your costs. No hidden steps.

# forward — what you keep revenue = (price + shipping charged) × units fees = revenue × 13.30% + $0.45 × units net = revenue − fees − item cost − shipping cost − fixed costs # reverse — what you should charge price = (target + costs + fixed) ÷ (1 − 13.30%) − shipping charged

Optional fees such as promotions are excluded from those percentages until you switch them on, because they only apply to a share of orders. When enabled, they simply add to the rate.

What this calculator leaves out

Common questions

Does Depop charge a fee on shipping?

The 10% selling fee is charged on the item price. When the buyer pays for a Depop shipping label, that amount is handled separately and does not normally count as your revenue, which is why the default here leaves shipping charged at zero.

Is the payment fee charged on the whole order?

Yes — 3.3% + $0.45 is charged on the total transaction amount, including any shipping the buyer pays you directly. The fixed $0.45 is why very low-priced items are barely worth listing.

What about boosted listings?

Boosting is an optional paid promotion charged separately. If you use it regularly, add the average cost per sale to your item cost to keep the profit figure honest.

Keep going

If the number above is worse than you expected, the fix is usually one of two things: raise the price, or move the shipping into the item price. Our reverse pricing calculator tells you the price that hits your target; the fee base guide explains why shipping is charged twice.
