Poshmark Fee Calculator
Poshmark's commission is simple and high: a flat 20% on sales of $15 and above, or a $2.95 flat fee below that. Shipping is normally paid by the buyer.
All amounts in USD. One unit = one order.
| Where the money goes | Amount |
|---|
Break-even price: $18.75 — below this you lose money on every sale.
Work backwards from the profit you want.
This accounts for the item price, shipping charged, every active fee, your item cost, shipping cost and monthly fixed costs spread over the units above.
On the example above, Poshmark takes 20.0% of every sale. That is the number to compare, not the headline percentage — the fixed fees and the shipping-inclusive fee base are what make the effective rate diverge from the advertised one.
The full fee schedule
Every charge Poshmark applies to a United States order, and when each one bites.
| Fee | Amount | When it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Commission | 20.0% | 20% on sales of $15 or more; $2.95 flat below $15 (not modelled precisely — set the rate manually for low-price items). |
How the maths works
The calculator does exactly three things: it builds the fee base, applies every active fee, then subtracts your costs. No hidden steps.
Optional fees such as promotions are excluded from those percentages until you switch them on, because they only apply to a share of orders. When enabled, they simply add to the rate.
What this calculator leaves out
- Poshmark sets shipping labels and the buyer usually pays, so shipping is excluded from revenue by default.
- Poshmark also runs 'Posh Shows' and promoted closets; those costs are not modelled.
Common questions
Why is the commission 20%?
Poshmark charges a flat 20% commission on sales of $15 or more, which funds prepaid shipping labels and the social selling tools. It is one of the highest platform take rates, so the item cost has to be low for resale to work.
What happens on sales under $15?
Poshmark charges a flat $2.95 instead of the percentage. On a $10 sale that is 29.5% — effectively a higher rate. Set the commission rate manually to model a specific low-price sale.
Do I pay a fee on shipping?
Shipping is normally paid by the buyer directly to Poshmark, so it does not appear in your revenue. If you offer discounted shipping, that discount comes out of your payout and should be added to shipping cost.

Keep going
If the number above is worse than you expected, the fix is usually one of two things: raise the price, or move the shipping into the item price. Our reverse pricing calculator tells you the price that hits your target; the fee base guide explains why shipping is charged twice.
